Job Description

Media Relations Partner position at IKEA supporting the global Media Relations Team with operational tasks, media monitoring, franchise support, and crisis communication in a global context.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the team with operational tasks including managing the press inbox
  • Act as Media on Duty lead for global media network
  • Coordinate rotating on-call media team and monitor performance metrics
  • Identify needs, design solutions, and optimize tools for media monitoring, distribution, and reporting
  • Lead connections with and support to twelve IKEA franchises with strategic media support
  • Deliver guidance and align local activities with global campaigns
  • Provide support in crisis communication when needed
  • Produce and distribute bi-monthly media report on coverage, sentiment, reach, and key trends
  • Manage media assets, templates, folder structure and workflows on internal systems
  • Facilitate efficient collaboration and working methods across the team and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Experience in PR/Media Relations or communications operations
  • Ability to focus, structure, prioritize between actions, follow through on commitments and meet deadlines
  • Enjoy sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to facilitate and/or moderate different types of meetings, workshops or discussions
  • Act and behave according to the IKEA values
  • Strong analytical skills and good writing
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, intranet platforms, and content management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English with IKEA tone of voice
