Job Description:

We have an immediate opening for a Media Planner/Buyer in our media group. TBC’s Media Planner/Buyers work to create strategic, well-researched media plans and steward media buys to deliver upon Client KPIs. Our ideal candidate is proactive, organized, analytical, resourceful, and able to manage his or her time well. Media planner/buyers are responsible for working with the Agency’s media team members in the development of effective media plans, buys, and campaign reporting and analysis.

Job Responsibility:

  • Aiding in the development, implementation and monitoring of comprehensive or cross-channel media plans and buys
  • Demonstrating a mastery of planning systems and tools and using these tools to determine the best use of media mix and placements
  • Facilitating the gathering of media rate and research information required to develop media strategies
  • Developing competitive analyses, including the gathering of competitive data and incorporating the data into comprehensive charts and presentations
  • Managing campaign setup for digital campaigns, across multiple platforms as well as providing ongoing campaign optimization
  • Purchasing and stewarding media buys, negotiating the best rates and added value, and ensuring buys run as ordered to deliver upon Client KPIs
  • Assisting in the monitoring of campaign media results by monitoring campaign dashboards, aiding in analyzing results data, and preparing insights
  • Participating in client meetings for account status, media plan presentations, and reporting discussions, as appropriate

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably having taken relevant advertising or marketing communications classes
  • ideal candidate will have two–four years of experience in media planning or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience planning and managing multi-channel media campaigns inclusive of a variety of media platforms
  • Proficiency in end-to-end campaign set-up, management, optimization, and performance reporting methods across digital media platforms
  • Ability to interpret, compile, summarize and communicate learnings, striving to continuously improve the ROI of a client’s budget
  • Solid understanding of Google Analytics and other web analytics tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint combined with strong written and communication skills
  • Familiarity with syndicated media research tools such as Resonate, MRI, Scarborough, SQAD, Vivix, etc.
  • Aptitude for managing multiple tasks with attention to details, deadlines, budgets and timelines
  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well independently and collaborate effectively with members of media and client services teams
  • Desire and ability to go above and beyond
