For our brand new ASML DUV manufacturing facility at New Taipei campus, we are looking for experienced mechatronics design engineers who can support the new manufacturing process of the DUV modules to meet the output and quality requirements for these DUV-modules. The vision is to build a more scalable, competitive and closer-to-the customer manufacturing capability in Taiwan which is able to send qualified modules directly to the customer. You will work in a team of approximately 40 fte (projected to grow further) of multiple competences. You will work closely together with the manufacturing team (~70 fte) and Supplier Quality Engineers (~10 fte). This team is part of the D&E Field organization with an overarching mission to increase intimacy with our customer and ASML operations (Customer Support, Repair & Re-use, Manufacturing and Strategic Sourcing and Procurement). Expect that you will spend approximately six months in the Netherlands or Wilton, USA for training purposes in 2026.
Job Responsibility:
Support the DUV module manufacturing organization with troubleshooting capability
Translate operational manufacturing requests into clear specifications in your own domain
Support and/or change of the current mechatronic design and ability to translate into mechanical electronic and software design changes
Identify design improvements that support more scalable and competitive systems. Translate these ideas into appropriate documentation and synchronize with central D&E
Can communicate and synchronize with engineers & architects from other disciplines (mechanics, electrical, software, physics, optics)
Build and maintain specialist knowledge in the field of mechatronics (servo control, motion control, signal analysis) and manufacturing
Requirements:
Bachelor's in mechatronics or a master's degree in either mechatronics engineering or mechanical engineering with a specialization in dynamics and control
≥ 3 years of mechatronic engineering experience in a similar role within ASML or related high-tech industry
Being a generalist in your field of expertise
Familiar with quality and safety regulations associated with working in a manufacturing environment and design
Familiar with manufacturing way of working
Ability to diagnose and understand the functional and engineering principles of various parts and modules of the manufactured systems
Ability to bring technical problems to a solution and explain and present your solutions to appropriate stakeholders
Writing skills
Skilled in Matlab and Matlab Simulink
Analytical way of thinking and convert your analysis in creative, inventive, and thinking out-of-the box way to realize solutions in an ambiguous environment where not all design documentation is up-to-speed
