Job Description

We are looking for (design) engineers who are able to translate technical needs for the DUV modules into requirements that can be transferred to local suppliers in Asia. Specifically, we are looking for experienced design engineers with mechatronics competence who can deliver Technical Product Documentation. Both the manufacturing facility and the transfer of suppliers to Asia contribute to our vision to build a more scalable, competitive and closer-to-the customer manufacturing capability in Taiwan which is able to send qualified modules directly to our customers. You will work in a team with design- and supplier quality engineers lead by a Group lead. This team is part of the D&E Field organization with an overarching mission to increase intimacy with our customer and ASML operations (Customer Support, Repair & Re-use, Manufacturing and Strategic Sourcing and Procurement). This position is open to local hires as well as Long Term assignees within ASML. You will spend ~ six months in the Netherlands or Wilton, USA for training purposes in 2026.

Job Responsibility

  • Clarify, update, and complete available Technical Product documentation (TPD) to accomplish TPD acceptance by supplier (TAS)
  • Update TPD (in-red and/or discrepancies) via Engineering Change and qualify the new supplier part quality with production engineer
  • Provide technical support for all Asia supplier sourcing activities
  • Collaborate with development teams within Veldhoven, Netherlands and Wilton, USA

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Higher education degree in Mechatronics Engineering
  • ≥ 3 years of experience relatable to ASML
  • Technical background in Mechatronics Engineering
  • Fluency in English & Mandarin is preferred
  • Legally authorized to access controlled technology as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations

  • Design and develop software programs (PLC and/or PC based) specific to customer and project requirements based on standard ATS programming methods (ATS Global Code Standard)
  • In depth programming in environments mainly using PLC Ladder logic (Rockwell / Siemens platforms), and structured test (i.e. shell scripting, Visual Basic, C#, Python)
  • Ability to reverse-engineer and write PLC code from scratch
  • Select, test and integrate hardware and software components such as robots, I/O, analog devices, motion controllers, sensors, vision systems and lasers
  • Debug and commission control systems at our facility, during the system integration stage and then at the customer's site during installation. Travel to both domestic and international customer locations for SAT (up to 20% travel per year)
  • Work with other members of the control systems design department and other groups to continuously improve methods of integrating controls technology, with the goals being enhanced safety, enhanced functionality and reduced cost
