As a Mechanicals Program Manager at Meta, you will be at the forefront of our mission to bring cutting-edge consumer electronics to life. You will be an integral part of the Mechanical Operations Team, collaborating with committed Product Design, Industrial Design, Quality, and Sourcing teams. Your expertise will be crucial in driving the readiness of plastic and metal parts for our innovative new hardware programs, from initial concept to mass production. Job Responsibility:
Program Leadership: Drive the day-to-day execution of tooling, molding, and secondary operations to meet overall program objectives. This includes a heavy focus on plastic and metal tooling release, tooling trial schedule oversight, and post-molding processes such as CNC, coating, assembly, and testing
Schedule and Risk Management: Create and maintain comprehensive program schedules, diligently track progress, and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks. You will be responsible for prioritizing tasks for the Mechanical Operations team to ensure program success
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between engineering, operations, and our global supply base partners. Your ability to direct internal and external resources will be critical in meeting aggressive timelines, quality targets, and production volumes
Manufacturing Readiness: Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive engineering build and mass-production readiness for all mechanical components
Quality and Improvement: Champion failure analysis and corrective action (FACA) initiatives to drive continuous yield improvements and ensure the highest product quality
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related Business discipline
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing of mechanical components within the plastics molding and tooling industry
3 - 5 years of proven project management experience
Demonstrated experience in launching high-cosmetic consumer electronics products
Experience working with a global supply chain, including a background in project coordination with Asia-based manufacturers, both remotely and onsite
A solid working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), data analysis, and statistics
