Requirements

Advanced apprenticeship / NVQ Level 4 or BTEC
NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline
Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace or equivalent
Manufacture and fitting of mechanical parts & assemblies
Familiar with site / factory work environments
Lifting & Slinging experience
Use of hand tools for assembly
Understands and can work to mechanical engineering drawings
General Workshop equipment such as pedestal grinder, drill, bandsaw
Able to organise and prioritise own work

Job Responsibility

Perform plant operations, installations, handling, assembly, dismantling and other activities on equipment or within the site/workshop environment
Review skill levels and update them as necessary
Carry out tasks as required for specific projects including the assembly / installation / maintenance / operation and / or dismantling of general plant and equipment and development / test rigs
Complete and maintain as necessary all associated records and documentation
Contribute to the development of business by internal referral and communication of appropriate information and intelligence
