Lucideon M+P is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Test Engineer to join our team in Greenville, SC, where you’ll work hands-on with advanced materials testing to support clients across aerospace, defense, energy, and healthcare industries. Job Responsibility:
Lead mechanical investigations on diverse materials and products
Set up, execute, and interpret a wide range of mechanical tests
Manage data acquisition, reduction, and documentation of results
Consult directly with clients to define testing programs and technical approaches
Write professional technical reports and deliver findings to clients
Support cross-disciplinary lab activities and mentor technicians
Contribute to laboratory procedures, audits, and quality compliance
Occasionally support the commercial team with technical scopes and client inquiries
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
Strong knowledge of mechanical test methods and standards, including tensile, flexural, bend, creep, Charpy, and strain analysis
Load frame experience strongly preferred
Ability to understand and interpret diverse test standards and client requirements
Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and technical writing skills to clearly present findings to clients and colleagues
A problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
