Job Responsibility

  • Lead mechanical investigations on diverse materials and products
  • Set up, execute, and interpret a wide range of mechanical tests
  • Manage data acquisition, reduction, and documentation of results
  • Consult directly with clients to define testing programs and technical approaches
  • Write professional technical reports and deliver findings to clients
  • Support cross-disciplinary lab activities and mentor technicians
  • Contribute to laboratory procedures, audits, and quality compliance
  • Occasionally support the commercial team with technical scopes and client inquiries

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical test methods and standards, including tensile, flexural, bend, creep, Charpy, and strain analysis
  • Load frame experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to understand and interpret diverse test standards and client requirements
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills to clearly present findings to clients and colleagues
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
