Job Description

Pre-tender process starting from evaluating/ assessing tenders, assessing risk factors to arrive at bid decisions, and estimating all the required material, equipment, and manpower needs to be able to arrive at reliable cost estimates for bidding projects

Job Responsibility

  • Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, piping, etc.)
  • Develop technical and commercial proposals, including BOQs, data sheets, and compliance statements
  • Evaluate material, equipment, and subcontractor quotations to ensure technical and commercial compliance
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to gather input for bid preparation
  • Analyze and optimize design proposals to achieve cost-effectiveness and compliance with standards
  • Identify potential value engineering opportunities
  • Source and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors
  • Negotiate technical and commercial terms to obtain competitive pricing
