Join a leading energy company as a Mechanical Technician III, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting research activities for fuel performance and engine testing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate automotive test engines and vehicles according to established specifications
  • Monitor operations and adjust control systems to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Diagnose problems and perform repairs on test engines and control systems
  • Maintain adequate fuel supply to all engines and vehicles
  • Work rotating shifts (Day, Swing, Grave) as part of a dedicated team

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude essential for engine and system operation
  • 3-5 years working with automotive engines or mechanical systems
  • Experience in monitoring and adjusting process control systems
  • Proficiency in algebra for operational calculations
  • Excellent collaboration skills within a technical environment
  • Basic skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • 3-5 years in a technical environment related to automotive mechanics
  • Formal training in automotive technology or related fields preferred
  • ASE Certified or similar certification in automotive mechanics is advantageous

  • Cable Prep: Ensure that cables are properly labeled and organized to minimize errors during installation
  • Build Fiber Cases and Enclosures: Constructing fiber cases and enclosures involves creating protective housings for fiber optic equipment and connections
  • Splice Color for Color Fibers: When splicing fiber optic cables together, technicians match the colors of the fibers to ensure that the correct fibers are connected
  • Cable Management: Organize the cables neatly within the enclosure, ensuring that they are properly routed and secured to prevent tangling or damage
