We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee heating system works across Lincolnshire, including Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) installations, within a social housing environment.
Job Responsibility:
Supervising and coordinating mechanical works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and health & safety requirements
Planning and allocating work to operatives and subcontractors, monitoring progress and resolving delivery issues
Carrying out quality inspections to ensure systems meet required standards and client expectations
Liaising with Project Managers, Site Managers and other discipline supervisors to coordinate multi-trade activities
Supporting testing, commissioning and handover processes, ensuring accurate documentation is completed
Identifying and escalating design or technical issues for resolution
Ensuring works are carried out in line with method statements, risk assessments and permit-to-work systems
Providing guidance, mentoring and support to apprentices and junior engineers
Promoting and maintaining a strong HSEQ culture across all sites
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent
Proven experience supervising mechanical installation works within building services or construction
Strong working knowledge of domestic heating systems
Good understanding of HSEQ principles and safe systems of work
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Nice to have:
CSCS Supervisory or Manager card
Gas Safe registration
Experience working within social housing, public sector or large-scale commercial projects
First Aid at Work certification
IOSH Managing Safely qualification
Experience using digital site management systems
