We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Rolling Stock Maintainer to support the maintenance of passenger rail fleet. You will be responsible for providing technical support to continually improve the reliability of the fleet, including fault-finding, troubleshooting and general routine maintenance. A Mechanical trade certificate is required for this position.
Job Responsibility
Daily review of train fleet performance
Conduct routine inspections, fault finding and troubleshooting (mechanical, but also assisting with electrical faults when required)
Defect rectification
Ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with standards and work instructions
Manage failure investigations and customer feedback of findings
Develop, review and improve technical maintenance plans and other supporting documentation
Documentation
Perform RCA of defects following release to service
Raise equipment non-conformance reports and provide assessments
Requirements
Trade Background –Mechanical Qualification such as Mechanical Fitter / Cert III Mechanical Engineering, Diploma, Mechanical Trade
Prior experience in rail vehicle / Rolling Stock maintenance on heavy or light rail assets preferred, however considerable heavy plant maintenance will be considered from other sectors
Knowledge of Reliability Centred Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Corrective Maintenance, Root Cause analysis
