Job Description

The Mechanical QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical construction, installation, and commissioning activities on a mega-scale petrochemical project comply with approved specifications, project quality requirements, international codes, and applicable standards. The role requires extensive experience in petrochemical projects, strong technical knowledge, and hands-on inspection expertise across all mechanical disciplines.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform QA/QC inspections for mechanical construction activities including piping, pressure vessels, storage tanks, static and rotating equipment
  • Verify installation works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project quality plans
  • Review and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements
  • Witness welding, NDT, hydrostatic testing, and mechanical completion activities
  • Review material certifications, inspection reports, and mechanical dossiers
  • Raise and follow up on NCRs and ensure corrective actions are closed
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, client, and third‑party inspection teams

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Mechanical QA/QC Inspector
  • At least 5–7 years on large-scale or mega petrochemical, refinery, or oil & gas projects
