Job Description

The main function for the Mechanical Preventive Maintenance Tech will be to perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment such as HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and other small equipment like vacuums and more.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment such as HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and other small equipment like vacuums
  • Perform duty rounds by using daily checklists
  • Reports on and corrects noted problems
  • Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplishes assigned work orders, and does all necessary repairs
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workspace
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of tools in use
  • Work in a safe manner including proper use of PPE and following safety protocols
  • Responsible for correct use of maintenance request system
  • Assist with maintenance requests for other trades, as needed

Requirements

  • One year experience in a similar job required
  • Ability to read and interpret property blueprints
  • Skilled with using hand, power and diagnostic tools
  • Texas Driver’s License with good driving record preferred
