Mechanical / Platework Designer

Primero Americas is currently seeking a Mechanical / Platework Designer to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a talented group and contribute to Primero's continued growth and success. Primero is an Australian-founded company established in 2011, with steady growth in Montreal since 2016. We expanded into Houston in 2022 and Toronto in 2023, strengthening our North American presence. We specialize in the design, procurement, and construction management of mineral processing facilities. As a Mechanical / Platework Designer, you will be responsible for the development of detailed design deliverables, including 3D models, 2D drawings, and fabrication packages for mineral processing facilities. This role focuses on the design of platework equipment such as chutes, hoppers, bins, tanks, liners, and related components. Working closely with mechanical engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure that all deliverables meet project requirements, fabrication standards, and constructability expectations. This position follows a hybrid work model, combining office presence and remote work, and reports to the Principal Designer.
