The Facilities Mechanical Shift Supervisor is a hands-on tech that will complete service work and repairs, as well as responsible for overseeing the workload of the maintenance techs. The supervisor ensures the quality and efficiency of work being performed.
Job Responsibility:
Completes maintenance requests submitted by guests or employees for general maintenance issues within the hotel
Completes preventive maintenance on Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) throughout the hotel
Supervises Maintenance Tech ensuring that the team is working efficiently and producing high quality results
Conducts inspections of work performed
Assists with training, motivating and supporting Maintenance Techs
Assists with performance management of Maintenance techs by providing both positive and corrective feedback, recognizing the team with Employee of the Month and on-the-spot recognition, and recommending coaching and disciplinary actions
Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS systems and Life Safety Systems
Requirements:
Vocational or technical training preferred
Two years of related experience (i.e., HVAC, Refrigeration, Kitchen, Laundry, etc.) required
Able to demonstrate an understanding of building systems and equipment such as HVAC equipment, Refrigeration equipment, Kitchen equipment, Laundry equipment
One year of experience in supervising or leading a team is preferred
Strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook. Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams are desirable
Knowledge and use of a Service Ticketing system preferred. HotSOS experience is desirable
Texas Driver’s License with good driving record required
Must be 21+ years old due to vehicle insurance requirements
Nice to have:
