Mechanical Maintenance Technician

• Performing structural work, such as manufacturing, repairing, and modifying steel constructions and machine components, for example on conveyors, transport belts, and gearboxes
• Adjusting and aligning, cleaning, and repairing machines
• Welding materials as required (MIG/MAG, TIG, or electrode)
• Reading and interpreting technical and engineering drawings
• Contributing ideas for improvements in constructions and assisting with their implementation

• An education at mid-level, preferably in shipbuilding
• Must be in possession of a valid VCA or VCA-Vol certificate
• Must be able to communicate with the employee in Dutch or English
• Demonstrable work experience as a Ship Metal Worker
• Experience with reading drawings, measuring and marking
• Experience with tack welding, grinding and burning
• Technical expertise in mechanical maintenance as well as experience in structural and bench work
• Completed technical education, such as mechanical engineering, metalworking, or a comparable field
• Familiarity with welding techniques (MIG/MAG, TIG) and certification is a plus
• Knowledge of technical drawings and schematics
• Safety awareness and a valid VCA certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• A flexible attitude and willingness to work in shifts or on-call if required
