Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - who would want to become a AP, to join our facilities team working in a Hospital in Putney Bridge. This is a permanent full-time role Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm + Overtime +Oncall + Parking onsite.

Job Responsibility

  • Reporting to the M&E Supervisor or potential becoming the supervisor very quickly
  • To provide the safe operation, planned and reactive maintenance of M&E plant and equipment across the hospital
  • To carry out the installation of new M&E equipment as required i.e. minor new works, refurbishment and capital works replacement programme
  • Investigate, trouble shoot and rectify defects for all M&E systems and associated plant / components
  • Oversee/escort any specialist contractor works as required
  • Proactive identification of defects and faults outside of specialisation and escalate accordingly
  • Ensure prompt and accurate completion of all associated paperwork
  • Working Monday to Friday, with participation in the on call rota and out of normal working hours activity

Requirements

  • Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience
  • Must be able to undertake unsupervised non-routine maintenance and complex repair/installation work
  • Good communication skills and customer focused with a proactive, flexible, can-do approach
  • Must be able to produce technical/incident reports
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
  • Must have worked in a commercial setting
