Job Description:

Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within the facilities sector? Seeking a new challenge! My client are a leading global constuction company looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Peterborough. This is a static role, working a shift pattern of 12 hours, 4 on/4 off, alternating between days/nights (7am-7pm/7pm-7am)

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain services including Electrical, Mechanical, Fabric, BMS, fire alarms, boilers, pressure systems, water-based systems and specialist systems in accordance with all current regulations
  • Take the lead on the maintenance, operation, and complex fault resolution of mechanical building services and critical systems
  • Ensure mechanical assets are operated safely, maintained in line with HTMs, and compliant with relevant regulations and Trust procedures
  • Provide technical support to colleagues, offer guidance on mechanical issues, and contribute to the safe planning and delivery of mechanical works

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds / NVQ Mechanically Qualified (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a commercial environment
  • Good building services knowledge
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Be able to pass a DBS check
