This is a wholesale site receiving product delivered by ships, which is unloaded using bespoke, new equipment into stores before being loaded. The plant is relatively new but involves complex operations and unique maintenance demands. Due to site expansion, this is an opportunity for a skilled engineer with a background in working autonomously on improvement projects and implementing forward-thinking corrective maintenance strategies.
Job Responsibility:
Balanced between Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and proactive project work, including setting up equipment
During peak shipment times, monitoring all areas of the site to ensure a smooth process and the constant running of all automated equipment
Fault-finding, repairs, and replacements to maintain production line efficiency
Overseeing daily checks, managing the planned maintenance schedule, and implementing constant corrective maintenance
Requirements:
Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within an automated manufacturing plant
Time-served Mechanical/Electrical apprenticeship or a recognised Level 3 qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (must be a NVQ, BTEC, HND, HNC, or ONC)
Familiarity with repairing and maintaining diverse industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
A genuine interest in long-term progression and growth within the company
Proven ability to manage your own PPM schedule and oversee site breakdowns effectively
