Job Description

We are seeking a senior mechanical professional to lead quality control and compliance during installation of large rotating equipment on major energy projects. This role is responsible for ensuring mechanical installation work is technically correct, fully documented, and audit-ready throughout execution. The position serves as the mechanical quality authority during installation and works directly with construction, engineering, commissioning, and client representatives.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee mechanical installation of turbines, generators, pumps, and auxiliary systems
  • Enforce compliance with project specifications, drawings, and installation procedures
  • Own mechanical inspection and test planning during installation
  • Ensure welding compliance, including WPS/PQR adherence and welder qualification validation
  • Maintain material traceability and installation documentation integrity
  • Control calibrated tooling and measurement verification processes
  • Lead identification, documentation, and resolution of mechanical non-conformities
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Support client inspections, audits, and turnover reviews
  • Ensure mechanical records are complete, accurate, and defensible at handover

Requirements

  • 7-10 years in heavy industrial mechanical installation
  • Direct experience with turbine, hydroelectric, or large rotating equipment projects
  • Prior ownership of mechanical QA/QC during installation (not commissioning only)
  • Demonstrated experience managing welding documentation and inspection workflows
  • Experience handling NCR processes within EPC environments
  • Comfortable operating in high-visibility, client-facing project settings
  • Strong field authority and technical credibility
  • High attention to documentation and compliance detail
  • Ability to enforce standards under schedule pressure
  • Experience operating within structured project governance

  • Provide technical assistance and supervision to customers on the installations

  • Provide management with complete and prompt information and report regarding safety & project/service status, customer or equipment problems, and failures
  • Provide technical assistance through on-site guidance and training in proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned programs and ground support equipment
  • Provide and assist quality team with root cause analysis and generate reports in case of equipment malfunction or failures to identify/analyse any undesirable trends
  • Complete site documentations such as weekly safety update, installations check lists, pre-commissioning, and commissioning procedures
