Job Description

We’re recruiting a Mechanical Inspector for a global aerospace manufacturer near Uxbridge. You’ll be part of a quality-first team, inspecting precision-engineered components that are used in safety-critical applications worldwide.

Job Responsibility

  • Inspect machined and goods-in components using precision tools (verniers, calipers, micrometers)
  • Interpret engineering drawings and check components to tight tolerances
  • Complete inspection documentation with high accuracy
  • Record data in SAP and document non-conformances
  • Work to aerospace quality standards

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Skilled in precision measuring equipment (metric and imperial)
  • Previous experience in Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, or Subcontract Manufacturing
  • CMM/PC-DMIS experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • Knowledge of Hexagon Laser Scanning Arm is a bonus

Nice to have

  • CMM/PC-DMIS experience
  • Knowledge of Hexagon Laser Scanning Arm
