All trade applicants are required to relocate to the Centre of Queensland, Town of Mount Isa. We will Fitters are involved with the maintenance, repairs, installation, and component changing of plant equipment. Shift: 12 hour shifts... Mount Isa Mines is one of the world's largest mining complexes. As the hub of Glencore’s copper and zinc operations in Queensland, we: Employment with Glencore, Working with Australia’s biggest industrial asset, located in Mount Isa, an outback city of more than 22,000 residents

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and other mechanical equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out preventative maintenance
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other trades and site personnel as required

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a similar role within mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • All Applicants must be willing to undergo a Pre Employment Medical, including drug & alcohol testing
  • Only applicants that reside in Australia, and hold work rights will be considered
  • 2 years experience
