An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent position in the highly sought-after mining sector. If you've always been passionate about gaining experience and knowledge with one of the world's largest mining and processing operations, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. All trade applicants are required to relocate to the Centre of Queensland, Town of Mount Isa. We will Fitters are involved with the maintenance, repairs, installation, and component changing of plant equipment. Shift: 12 hour shifts

Job Responsibility:

  • Fitters are involved with the maintenance, repairs, installation, and component changing of plant equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and other mechanical equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out preventative maintenance
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other trades and site personnel as required

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a similar role within mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • 2 years experience
