Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent position in the highly sought-after mining sector. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment across a variety of industrial sites. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure all machinery operates efficiently and safely.

Job Responsibility:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and other mechanical equipment
Diagnose faults and carry out preventative maintenance
Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards
Collaborate with other trades and site personnel as required
Involved with the maintenance, repairs, installation, and component changing of plant equipment

Requirements:

Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
Proven experience in a similar role within mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Must be willing to undergo a Pre Employment Medical, including drug & alcohol testing
Must reside in Australia and hold work rights
2 years experience
