Maintenance Fitter | FMCG Manufacturing. Keep our production moving. We are looking for a trade-qualified Fitter to join our team, balancing rapid breakdown response with a proactive approach to plant reliability. The Role: You will ensure peak operational efficiency by maintaining complex production machinery. This role is about more than just "fixing things"—it's about reducing downtime and evolving our maintenance culture.

Job Responsibility:

  • Respond to breakdowns and urgent repairs in a timely manner
  • Shift the focus from reactive to proactive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime
  • Help develop maintenance programs and suggest plant performance upgrades
  • Uphold strict safety, Food Safety, and Animal Welfare standards in all activities

Requirements:

  • Australian Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Strong fault-finding skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, and complex mechanical systems
  • Background in industrial manufacturing (FMCG preferred)
  • Proven ability to multitask and solve problems under pressure
  • Basic Excel skills
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating Day, Afternoon, and Night shift roster

Nice to have:

  • Maximo CMMS experience
  • Drivers license
  • Reliable transport
