Job Description

Our client is a highly respected Australian specialist in industrial Air Pollution Control (APC) systems. They are mobilising a specialised Odour Control Unit (OCU) installation on the outskirts of Woodend, set to commence on Monday, June 29th. You will be installing a state-of-the-art turn-key environmental system designed to treat industrial emissions, requiring high-cleanliness craftsmanship and precise mechanical alignment.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the physical installation and assembly of specialised industrial APC plant equipment over a 5-6 week pipeline
  • Position, level, and secure a large industrial fibreglass storage tank and assemble an aluminium structural platform according to GA drawings
  • Erect a 12-meter-high Vent Stack (400mm diameter) and install a specialised fan, heater, and 2-stage filter system
  • Run, connect, and secure premium fibreglass extraction ducts alongside standard PVC pipelines
  • Partner closely with an assigned Trade Assistant on-site to drive the project to completion safely and on schedule

Requirements

  • Recognised Australian Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent mechanical trade)
  • Proven experience assembling industrial plant gear, structural platforms, commercial air handling duct work, or specialised piping
  • Must hold a valid Working at Heights (WAH) certification
  • Valid EWP Licence (Elevated Work Platform) is highly preferred
  • Confined Space ticket is also highly regarded
