Experience in the Water industry or similar industry
National Licence to perform High Risk work (Desirable)
Trade Certificate in a relevant mechanical discipline

Job Responsibility

Perform routine, preventive, and reactive maintenance on water and wastewater treatment and delivery infrastructure
Fault finding, equipment repair, installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of assets and plant systems
Provide technical support to engineers and operational teams
Assist with scoping and estimating works
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently
Promote teamwork, inclusion, and continuous improvement
Support apprentices
Collaborate across disciplines
Foster strong relationships with trade partners

Apprentice Trained Mechanical Fitter
At least 2 year’s Mechanical Fitting experience
Experience working within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong Mechanical fault finding and repair skills
Experience maintaining pumps and valves
Experience carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation
Knowledge of health and safety procedures within an industrial environment

Job Responsibility

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across manufacturing equipment
Maintain and overhaul pumps, valves, pipework and associated equipment
Conduct equipment inspections and reliability improvement activities
Support plant shutdowns and maintenance projects
Complete maintenance documentation and work orders
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures including permit to work systems and lock out/tag out procedures
