Job Description:

Specialized workshop role focusing on the overhaul of heavy mobile plant electrical components (Wheel Motors, Alternators & Generators).

Job Responsibility:

  • Working in a dedicated repair facility, you will strip, machine, and rebuild large-scale components for heavy mining equipment
  • Ground-Level Work: No working at heights or on ladders
  • Precision Focused: Machining, fabricating, and repairing high-voltage motors
  • Equipment: Operation of Lathes, Sandblasters, Welding gear, and Overhead Cranes

Requirements:

  • Trade Qualified: Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Machinist)
  • Technical Skill: Experience with heavy machinery overhauls and reading engineering drawings
  • Safety Conscious: Proven ability to manage risks in a manufacturing environment
  • Licenses: Forklift (LF) and Dogging/Rigging tickets (or a commitment to get them)
  • Drivers license: Reliable transport
  • White Card

Nice to have:

  • Overhead Gantry (CB) License
  • Experience with Soldering, Brazing, or Welding
  • Previous experience with Heavy Vehicle Mobile Plant
