Job Description:

BAE Systems, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated and driven mechanical engineering intern to join our summer internship program for 2026. As a Mechanical Engineer Technical Intern, you will join a team of engineers supporting hardware development opportunities that provide value to our customers and solve real world problems.

Job Responsibility:

  • CAD modeling
  • 3D printing
  • updating engineering documentation
  • providing support to manufacturing
  • resolving critical problems
  • improving system manufacturability

Requirements:

  • Transitioning into Junior or Senior year during the summer of 2026 or pursuing a graduate degree
  • Majoring in Mechanical Engineering
  • Some experience in CAD software such as PTC CREO or SolidWorks
  • Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Design/Mechanical knowledge through coursework or internships
  • Excellent team player who is willing to contribute and learn
  • U.S. citizenship status required
