We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Prototyping Team for Spring 2026 (Jan 5th-June 12th). In this hands-on role, you’ll support the development, assembly, and testing of components used in our humanoid robots. You will contribute directly to production-critical hardware development, collaborating with engineers and designers on the next revision of our robots.
Job Responsibility:
3D-print and assemble prototypes for functional and durability testing
Create parts using multiple materials and prototyping processes
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to integrate new parts and resolve fit-and-function challenges
Contribute to the design and engineering of next-generation robot revisions
Create and edit CAD models for 3D printing or milling
Document print settings, test results, and prototyping workflows
Maintain print lab organization and manage inventory of prototyping materials
Requirements:
Hands-on experience in mechanical engineering or prototyping
Basic CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Onshape, etc.)
Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field
Comfortable with physical work including setup, assembly, and post-processing
Able to work full-time on-site in Palo Alto
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
Experience with robotics, mechatronics, or general hardware projects
