Right now, we need to strengthen our Hardware team in Stockholm with a Mechanical Engineer who will work hands-on across the full product development lifecycle, from early concept exploration through to industrialization and design completion. You'll work alongside experienced mechanical engineers, contributing your own point of view to products that people around the world genuinely love. Job Responsibility:
Contribute to the mechanical development of consumer audio products across concept, detailing, and industrialization phases
Build, test, and iterate on physical prototypes using 3D printing and other hands-on development tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, electronics, acoustics, compliance, and quality throughout the product development process
Evaluate and propose mechanical solutions considering cost, reliability, quality, and time constraints
Support bidding processes and work with manufacturing partners to verify that technical requirements are being upheld
Produce requirement documentation, review and maintain engineering documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Apply design-for-x principles (DFM, DFA, DFR etc) throughout the development process
Requirements:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Development Engineering, with professional experience in physical product development from at least one previous employer
Proficiency in SolidWorks or a comparable parametric CAD tool, and a real enthusiasm for doing good CAD work
A knack for building and prototyping in different materials and with different techniques like 3D printing, woodwork, metalwork, soldering, and similar
Hands-on experience designing and developing plastic parts and components
A background at a company with high engineering standards, such as consumer electronics, industrial equipment, medtech, or similar fields is a strong advantage
Strong communication skills in English, with the confidence and social ease to work across functions and occasionally travel for projects
