Job Description:

RPA Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of piping systems for industrial and process facilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the design and development of piping systems for industrial and process facilities
  • Responsible for system sizing design and calculations
  • Preparing piping layouts
  • Conducting stress analysis
  • Preparing specifications
  • Ensuring code compliance
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective designs
  • Design and develop piping systems for various industries, including but not limited to: pharmaceutical, food & beverage, metals manufacturing, and light manufacturing
  • Calculate pipe sizing, pressure drops, and material requirements
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards
  • Support specification and selection of piping components and materials
  • Provide site support for field verification, walk-downs, and construction troubleshooting
  • Ability to walk/stand in manufacturing environments for periods of time for documenting existing conditions
  • Support commissioning and startup activities as-needed
  • Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering
  • 2-5 years of experience designing piping systems in various industries
  • Generate P&IDs, isometric drawings, plans and elevation drawings
  • Knowledge across multiple fluid systems (water, gases, oils, chemicals & solvents)
  • Proficient experience utilizing AutoCAD software

Nice to have:

  • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) licensure
  • Pipe stress calculations and analysis using software tools
  • Experience using BIM360, Revit and Plant3D software
