General Description • The E4 – Engineer is a professional engineer or geoscientist who applies engineering knowledge to provide engineering, estimating, planning, and quality management services for medium complexity projects and/or operations safely, with quality, within budget, and on time. Job Responsibility

  • Experience drafting for generation station Mechanical systems
  • Support the creation and revision of engineering drawings associated with Mechanical engineering works for Station Mechanical System projects
  • Use a variety of computer-aided drafting, modeling and parametric design applications to depict work in two and three dimensions and manage drawings using a computerized drawing records management system
  • Use drawings for site preparations and layouts, facility construction, and electrical infrastructure design and installation including details of equipment, assemblies, and components
  • Create customized drawings for non-standard engineering and design projects
  • Perform work according to CADD standards
  • Perform some calculations

Requirements

  • Familiarity and experience with best industry practices for commissioning of large gates and hoist systems, including precision alignment
  • Good judgement related to considering potential inadvertent impacts of testing on other equipment, and ability to adapt testing to avoid these risks
  • Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting of instrumentation for wire rope hoists
  • Must maintain a valid OFA Level 1 certification for the duration of employment
  • Valid class 5 vehicle license in good standing
  • Relocation to Campbell River is required for this position
  • Experience drafting for generation station Mechanical systems
  • All the required Experience and Role Accountabilities shall relate to Autodesk and other CADD applications drafting work experience
