Job Responsibility:
Designing and developing front vehicle systems, focusing on bumpers, grilles, hood assemblies, and emblems, from initial concept through to production
Lead the creation, modification, and management of complex 3D CAD models using CATIA V5 and Creo, ensuring compliance with engineering and manufacturing standards
Oversee the release process into Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, including Kola and PDM Link, to facilitate seamless data integration and collaboration across cross-functional teams
Generate detailed 3D and 2D drawings, ensuring adherence to industry standards such as ASME and ISO
Develop technical specifications, bill of materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions to support manufacturing and quality assurance teams
Define precise datum systems and apply GD&T principles to ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and quality control
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve tolerance stack-up issues, improving component fit and function
Modifying and optimizing existing front-end components to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance performance
Developing and overseeing components made from varied materials, including injection-molded plastics, Sheet metal (Aluminum and steel), and other materials suited for front-end durability and aesthetics
Facilitating cross-functional collaboration with teams in Studio design, manufacturing, mechanical integration, and attribute areas, including NVH, aerodynamics, contamination control, and quality assurance
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering with six (6) months’ experience
40 hr/wk
