The location in Sanford, (Florida, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Mechanical Engineer. This job is full-time permanent.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preventive and predictive maintenance: Develop, implement, and track preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime and minimize breakdowns
  • Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in a timely manner
  • Installation and upgrades: Recommend and implement upgrades or modifications to improve equipment performance and reliability
  • Safety and compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards
  • Record-keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history, often using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Collaboration: Work with production, operations, and management teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and support projects
  • Leadership: Lead the mechanical maintenance crew in the absence of the supervisor
  • Planning: Develop job planning and project planning skills to assist with outage planning

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Candidate must have a deep understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to work in challenging environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills with computer-based maintenance software such as SAP, MS Office and scheduling software
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

  • It is preferred that the candidate have 2-6 years of experience working in an industrial mill as a Mechanical/ Maintenance Engineer
  • Experience on projects with an operating company or engineering firm as part of a team is considered an asset
  • Experience in construction management and/or maintenance experience in industrial/process plant environment
  • Ability to utilize AutoCAD is an asset
