Job Description

A leading custom transportation manufacturing company is seeking a creative and driven Mechanical Engineer to join their close-knit engineering team. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position based in Oshawa, ON. In this role, you will bridge the gap between customer vision and production. You will participate directly in client meetings, translate custom requirements into 2D and 3D technical drawings, and coordinate closely with the production floor to ensure seamless manufacturing. Job Responsibility

  • Develop, modify, and finalize complex mechanical and structural designs for custom commercial trailers utilizing AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Sit in on client meetings to understand unique custom specs
  • Translate detailed 3D concepts into clear, accurate 2D paper drawings for the machine shop, nesting programs (ProNest), and welding departments
  • Manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in mechanical design
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
