Job Description:

Job Summary: Responsible for product design and development to comply with customer requirements and established industry and company standards and performance requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations
  • Interpret customer requirements and apply knowledge of engineering principles and company standards for product design and documentation
  • Continually evaluate existing products and the development of new products to meet new or changing market and/or company requirements
  • Develop or review designs, drawings, specifications, etc. of existing or new products
  • Ensure that assignments meet standards and performance requirements
  • Assist in the testing, as required, and production of test reports of products
  • Ensure system and product quality by designing testing methods
  • testing finished-product and system capabilities
  • confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes
  • Consult with engineering groups on equipment designs, questions and product promotion
  • Assist and respond to NCR’s, SDR’s and ECN’s
  • Anticipate potential problems and proactively solve complex problems through creative thinking, using internal and external resources
  • Assist in the investigation of field failures
  • evaluate root cause and recommend corrective action
  • Write departmental related specifications and documents, as required
  • Provide reports to senior levels of management on progress of assigned projects
  • Review industry literature and keep abreast of market product trends and technology
  • Identify and recommend processes for design improvement and innovation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering) from a four year college or university
  • or three to five or more years related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
