Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join an exciting client based in Bedfordshire. This role offers a unique blend of hands‑on testing, data analysis, and customer-facing engineering work within a highly respected test and development environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate testing activities across site, acting as a clear technical point of contact
  • Analyse test data and produce well-structured technical reports suitable for both internal review and customer-facing use
  • Turn customer objectives and internal research ideas into well-defined test plans, including cost estimates and delivery timelines
  • Assist with on-site customer support and technical visits when required
  • Build expertise in current and emerging mechanical and automotive test methodologies
  • Support technical training sessions for commercial teams and external partners
  • Assist with vehicle fleet trials
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to engineers, sales teams, and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical engineering experience
  • Comfortable working with test data and confident using MS Excel for analysis and reporting
  • Able to explain technical information clearly, whether in written reports, presentations, or face‑to‑face discussions
  • Naturally collaborative, with the confidence to work across teams and with external partners
