A Mechanical Engineer Project Coordinator facilitates the planning, execution, and closing of mechanical projects, acting as the liaison between project managers, field staff, subcontractors, and clients. They monitor project schedules, budgets, and technical documentation—such as RFIs and shop drawings—to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Job Responsibility:
Documentation Control: Prepare, log, and maintain project documents, including Change Orders (CO), Requests for Information (RFI), and submittals
Project Scheduling: Assist in creating project schedules, tracking progress
Technical Support: Review mechanical drawings, specs, and shop drawings
Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site superintendents for efficient site operations
Site Support: Conduct site visits, assist with commissioning, and resolve field technical issues.
Requirements:
Education: Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 1–2+ years in project coordination within the mechanical engineering in manufacturing industry
Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and often AutoCAD, Revit, Solid Works
Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to read technical construction drawings.
