Job Description

The Engineer will support the goals and programs established by the management team.

Job Responsibility

  • Monitor and assess engineering performance, quality and provide feedback for improvement
  • Assess team skills/competencies and create individual development plans
  • Monitor resource loading and develop action plans for staffing as required
  • Review and update practices, procedures and forms required for engineering execution
  • Rollout out new engineering processes and software. Review and improve the existing process and system
  • Check, approve and validate engineering deliverables for proposals and projects
  • Participate in 3D model, HAZOP review and other design review meetings as required
  • Participate in client meetings as required to provide technical input and execution guidance
  • Undertake root cause analysis and provide reports to non-conformances identified on projects
  • Assist with recruitment and undertake interviews as required
  • Review of third-party engineering company competencies
  • Review and approve manhours estimation and review of scope matrix / technical clarifications prepared by discipline engineers
  • Advise and assist project and discipline engineers with the interpretation and clarification of applicable industry codes and client specification requirements
  • Guide the team on the "Lessons learned" process and utilize findings from the process to update tools and processes
  • Provide advice to the team in Identifying the right engineering design vendor and executing the project in line with the schedule & budget
  • Establish training programs to enhance & develop the capability of team individuals

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 7 to 12 years of industry experience
  • Prior design work experience as lead for a minimum of 5 years on mechanical / structural
  • Sound knowledge of all international codes and standards
  • Thorough knowledge on international codes/ standards
  • All project phases execution from engineering to start up, including pre-commissioning, commissioning and troubleshooting experience

Nice to have

Past experience as Engineering Manager is preferred
