Job Description

Design and development of automatic grease lubrication units for pitch and yaw bearings and gears in wind turbines together with external suppliers. Preparation of design specification, functional specification and validation plan. Coordination with other departments like Quality, Sourcing, Material Management and Service for ensuring the end-to-end view of those systems. Qualification of new suppliers. Support to DFMEA development and quality analysis.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable university degree
  • 3+ years of experience with grease lubrication systems, preferably in the wind industry sector
  • Good communication skills
  • Comfortable to work in multi-national, multi-cultural teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally
  • Ability to manage projects and to work as a team with good analytical skills and the flexibility and dynamism in the execution of tasks
  • Fluent English, ideally skills in German and/or Spanish.

  • Inspect, top-up, and replace oils and greases as per OEM and site lubrication standards
  • Maintain and troubleshoot auto-lube systems (single-line, multi-point, and centralized grease systems)
  • Conduct oil sampling and basic oil condition assessments
  • Assist in contamination control, filter changes, and lubrication system maintenance
  • Identify and report lubrication-related defects through CMRs with clear severity ratings
  • Work closely with Condition Monitoring and Maintenance teams to ensure lubrication issues are addressed promptly
  • Maintain accurate lubrication records, route completion, and task history in SAP
  • Ensure compliance with site safety, environmental, and work procedures
