Requirements

University Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Previous experience in a similar role or being involved in proposal / tendering /sales procedures or project execution of Energy projects, will be considered as an asset
Strong Knowledge of mechanical engineering aspects on Energy Projects
Experience in working with multi-cultural project teams, across different locations and time zones
Fluency in English is essential
Knowledge of either French or German will be an advantage
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to travel on a regular basis to customer and project locations in Greece and abroad

Job Responsibility

Analyse Customer's requirements
Collaborate with Proposal Manager to prepare the deliverables required in the Sales & Bidding process
Understand the technical aspects of the Tender or product being proposed, often working closely with technical experts within the organization
Identification of all necessary technical deliverables and potential risks associated with the proposed solutions
Preparation of the necessary designs and studies
Write and/or edit proposal content, including technical sections and other relevant documents ensuring it adheres to the guidelines provided in the RFP/RFQ
Collaborate with other proposals disciplines, departments (engineering, construction etc.), sub-contractors and external consultants to fulfill the tender requirements
Ensure that the technical details in the proposal are accurate and align with the client's requirements
Evaluate bids from partners, sub-contractors and suppliers and present recommendations to the Proposal Manager and costing manager
Negotiate with Customers and Technology providers being responsible for explaining and discussing the technical Proposals in the field of mechanical engineering

Proven experience in a similar senior-level role, with active involvement in proposal development, tendering processes, sales engineering, or the execution of large-scale Energy projects
In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and their application in complex Energy sector projects
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multicultural, cross-functional project teams across various geographies and time zones
Fluency in English is essential
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-stakes deliverables simultaneously
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to interact with both internal stakeholders and external clients/partners at all levels
Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly to customer and project locations, both in Greece and internationally

Job Responsibility

Lead the analysis of complex customer requirements, providing strategic input to the Proposal Manager and aligning proposed solutions with client expectations and project objectives
Ensure timely and successful proposal submissions in line the established targets
Oversee the development of engineering designs and technical studies required to support the proposal, ensuring technical robustness and compliance with client and regulatory standards as well identify dependencies, and risks associated with the proposed mechanical engineering solutions, and suggest risk mitigation strategies
Develop a deep understanding of the technical scope of tenders and of the proposed products
Coordinate and lead collaboration across internal departments (engineering, construction, procurement, etc.), subcontractors, and external consultants, to ensure that all tender requirements are addressed and aligned
Represent the technical scope during negotiations with customers and technology partners
take full responsibility of preparing, presenting, and defending complex mechanical proposals, engineering methodologies, and project schedules

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required
FE/EIT Required, Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred
5 years of direct experience in facilities mechanical systems such as HVAC, Plumbing (domestic water) systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and testing adjusting and balancing (TAB) is required
Experience in a supervisory capacity is desired
Must have a superior track record of client satisfaction in mission-critical facilities and a passion for analyzing, troubleshooting, optimizing, and upgrading integrated systems in aging facilities and campus environments
Must possess an in-depth knowledge of LEED requirements and industry standards and practices i.e. ASHRAE, BCA, ACG, GSA
The successful candidate will be a Self‐starter who initiates action and can work independently or with a team while providing multi‐discipline coordination.
Effective communication and reporting skills at all working and management levels are essential
Must be a creative, innovative, and solutions-oriented thinker with the ability to understand and achieve goals and anticipate client needs
Experience using AutoCAD and/or Micro Station to prepare design plans is required, energy modeling experience is desired

Job Responsibility

Perform energy management, HVAC and life safety surveys, and facilities management evaluations and condition assessments
Prepare feasibility studies for design and construction
Prepare engineering or repair/replacement estimates and schedules
Present reports and explain findings to clients
Conduct design reviews, submittal reviews, reviews and facilitation of training plans, and O&M manual reviews
Prepare mechanical design calculations

Write technical specifications and develop drawings and visual aids
Review and provide comments on designs for configuration, reliability, redundancy
Review equipment and controls technology selections and strategies
