Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills in a high-demand industry that is vital to the UK economy. As a qualified Mechanical or Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for keeping a modern fleet of rolling stock operational and safe. You’ll work on a 4-on, 4-off shift rota (2 days, 2 nights), with 12-hour shifts from 7:00am–7:00pm.

Job Responsibility

  • Preventative Maintenance: Carry out planned maintenance activities to ensure the long-term reliability and safety of the fleet
  • Reactive Maintenance: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Proven heavy maintenance experience in industrial or capital equipment
  • Practical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and braking systems
  • A team player with a strong commitment to safe working practices
  • Must pass pre-employment checks, including a Drugs & Alcohol screening and a full rail medical
