Job Description:

Saunders International is seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsperson to join the team, preferably based at the head office in Rhodes, NSW. The role supports the design and engineering teams in the energy, defence, infrastructure and resource sectors.

Job Responsibility:

Preparing accurate and timely 2D and 3D technical drawings and models for mechanical projects
Working with engineers to ensure drawings meet project specifications and standards
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to gather and clarify design information
Supporting fabrication, construction, and operations teams with clear, concise documentation
Ensuring drawing records are up to date, filed appropriately, and retrievable when required
Supporting continuous improvement and consistency of CAD standards and workflows

Requirements:

Trade Certificate / Degree
3+ years’ experience in AutoCAD/Plant3D, or related engineering 3D design software
Experience in SMP engineering design
Detailed understanding and ability to support the training of others in CAD applications
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the external and internal business environment
Ability to respond to a changing work environment

Nice to have:

Experience in tank building industry
General WHS Induction for Construction (White Card, Blue Card)
