Job Description:

As a Mechanical Diesel Fitter with Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our rollingstock and mobile plant operating safely and efficiently. Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you’ll service, repair, and maintain diesel systems and associated equipment that support our large-scale sugar and renewable energy operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Service, diagnose, and repair diesel engines across locomotives and mobile plant
  • maintain and repair automatic transmissions and drive units
  • perform maintenance and repairs on mobile plant including forklifts, cranes, trucks, loaders, tractors
  • respond to breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • support construction and commissioning of locomotives and brake vans
  • work safely and complete required documentation accurately

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Diesel Fitter or Motor Mechanic)
  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • proven experience working with diesel engines, mobile plant, or heavy mechanical systems
  • strong fault-finding skills
