Requirements

5 to 8 years of experience in mechanical design and drafting, within the mining or industrial sector
Strong background in plant layout and multidisciplinary projects
DEP in industrial drafting or equivalent – relevant experience will also be considered
Proficiency in AutoCAD
knowledge of Advance Steel and AutoCAD Plant 3D is an asset
Solid skills in 3D modelling, 2D drawing production, and detail drafting
Familiarity with structural standards (imperial and metric) and applicable industry codes
Experience in an EPC/EPCM environment and/or construction or commissioning phases is a plus
Attention to detail, autonomy, and strong sense of responsibility
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Job Responsibility

Produce 2D drawings and 3D models in line with project specifications and technical standards
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and client requirements in all design work
Participate in the review of detailed drawings and models, with guidance from senior team members as needed
Collaborate with other disciplines to align deliverables with project goals and standards
Support the drafting team and help maintain consistency and quality across drawings
Deliver work within established timelines, with a strong focus on quality and safety
Proactively suggest improvements to tools, workflows, and design approaches
Execute tasks with rigor and attention to safety, quality, and deadlines
Provide guidance to junior designers and help communicate design intent clearly
