Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). The ideal candidate will bring strong design engineering expertise and direct experience within the nuclear industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and execute mechanical design engineering activities for nuclear projects
  • Develop, prepare, and review detailed design specifications and technical documentation
  • Perform design calculations, analysis, and validation of mechanical systems and components
  • Provide technical leadership and act as a Subject Matter Expert within the team
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration and compliance
  • Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support design reviews, audits, and client interactions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 10+ years of relevant design engineering experience
  • Proven experience in the nuclear industry
  • Strong expertise in preparing and writing design specifications
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical system design and analysis
  • Familiarity with applicable nuclear codes and standards
  • Excellent communication and technical leadership skills
