Job Description:

MEYERS+ ENGINEERS is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our New York office and work on world class design projects with a leading MEP design firm in the architectural engineering consulting industry. We are looking for a communicative person that is comfortable in a collaborative workspace liaising with colleagues and clients on complex building design solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for architecture and engineering related to the design and construction of highly sustainable, high performance innovative, and iconic buildings.

Job Responsibility:

Complete assigned work on time with limited detailed instructions
Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail
Understand and able to read plans and specifications
Interact frequently with clients and other project team members
Knowledge of building codes and industry standards
Estimate of probable construction costs
Perform site visits and issues reports
Perform AutoCad/Revit system design and documentation
Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection
Develop skills for edit/writing specifications
Fully functional at building performance simulation as it relates to the discipline
Implements the project quality management plan (QMP)

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
Requires a minimum of 2 years of industry experience
Engineer in Training (EIT)
LEED Accreditation
Knowledge of discipline systems
Problem solving
Organization
Clear communication
Attention to detail
Microsoft Office Suite
AutoCad/Revit
Engineering calculation and performance simulation software
