Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for the mechanical engineering and design of complete converters, energy storage systems, and cooling units for railway and heavy on/off-road applications
  • Create, maintain, and manage product data within PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
  • Plan and perform validation tests, focusing particularly on cooling performance and structural strength
  • Support production during the introduction of new products
  • contribute to product maintenance and continuous improvement
  • Create technical specifications and clarify technical requirements with suppliers and customers
  • Support the sales organization during the concept development and quotation phase

Requirements

  • Trained and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a technical school degree (TS), or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with CAD and ERP systems, ideally Creo and PTC Windchill
  • Preferably experienced in the design of power electronic equipment for rolling stock, automotive, or other vehicle applications
  • Open, collaborative team player with a hands-on, approachable working style and an interest in power electronics
  • Solid English skills are required
  • German is preferred
