Job Description:

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for an assignment starting next week. The role involves working with detailed design of welded structures in a technically advanced environment, with a strong focus on manufacturing documentation, drawings and supplier interaction.

Requirements:

  • Mid-level to senior experience within mechanical design
  • Experience working with welded steel structures (e.g. defence, aerospace, automotive, construction equipment, mining or similar industries)
  • Strong experience in detailed design and manufacturing documentation for welded structures
  • Experience in defining weld requirements and specifications
  • Knowledge of NDT (non-destructive testing)
  • Ability to perform hand calculations
  • Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) is preferred
  • Experience in working with drawings, integration and supplier communication
  • Ability to work independently and contribute directly from start

Nice to have:

Experience working with Creo and/or Windchill
